Special Delivery!

Today, Ryan is the lead in the Duvall Church Christmas program. So Ryan (and Josh and Katelyn) go to school here, but this is not the school program (which was a week ago), this is the Sunday School program. Ryan was hand-picked to be the lead in the play, which is pretty cool. So he performs today at the 9:30 and 11am services, both of which we'll be attending.

I was also a Magi in the 1st annual drive-thru Live Nativity scene down at the church on Friday night. Suzi helped with the stage makeup for all of actors. There were about 30 people in about six different scenes from the Christmas story. There were also two live camels, some goats, donkeys, mules, etc to round it out. About 300 cars came through that night, which is pretty good on a Friday night for a little town like Duvall. I'll try to get some pictures up later...

Christmas Party = Boring...

Wow. What a boring Christmas... excuse me.... Holiday Party. :) Had the night at the Experience Music Project (EMP). The food was great (catered by Ray's Boathouse). The drinks were meager (to quote Trevor, "I had a coke with rum flavoring"). The band was exceptional. Only 4 people that I knew from work out of all of all of Windows Client (the audience for the party) showed up. Just goes to show that a big production still isn't as much fun without friends there.

The EMP costs like $35 to get into on a regular day. It's a music museum. Think OMSI for music. I love music, but I'm just not that interested in the t-shirt that some artist wore on Total Request Live. Glad we got to see EMP for free, because I would have asked for my money back at $35 a head.

So we bailed out early and headed into Bellevue to try out Daniels and have some appetizers, but all of the appetizers were seafood and we just weren't in the mood for that. So we came home. A good night, got all fancy, got into Seattle, etc but just not a lot of excitement....
